My PC was working fine for 3 months until this morning. It keeps turning on and off repeatedly and will not post. I tried booting it with only the mobo/psu/cpu/ram installed but same issue. I then tried using only 1 ram. same issue. i then thought maybe the gpu is bad since nothing showed up on screen so i pulled the 760 from my other setup and it still had the same problem.. I tried clearing the CMOS but that didnt help. No matter what i do, i cant get it to POST anymore. Is my motherboard bad? Please tell me somebody can help me.

Have you tried the breadboard method? to test the mobo+cpu+1x ram module out of the case on a breadboard box, like the mobo box (psu out of case too).

Without the GPU you should be getting in that test the corresponding code for a faulty/missing gpu, if no code at all try again without ram, and finally without cpu, if still there's no proper error code for faulty/missing cpu, then you can say your mobo is bad.

So i just tried the breadboard method with mobo/cpu/1x ram and it still had the same problem where it kept cycling on and off, no code. I took out the ram, no POST, no code. took out the CPU, no post, no code. So its safe to say its the mobo?

Also, i tried turning on the pc when the mobo was still in the case and i noticed that the fans hooked up to cha_fan1/2 were not working. i hooked up the fans directly to the psu and they worked fine. I then tried hooking up the fan to cha_fan3 to see if that worked but that didnt work either. is this further proof that the mobo is faulty or does this point to something else?

hopefully, this is the actual problem. I'll update this once i get this mobo rma'd and all that. thanks for your help.
