Is my monitor 4 or 12ms

I recently bought a benq EW275 monitor, but in the description says 12ms, 4ms gtg. I mean, i want to play games on it but 12ms is slow for gaming, so is the response time 4 or 12?

Response time isn't a single number, it's a range, depending on which colors the screen is switching between. It's 4 ms for some transitions, 12 ms for others, and anywhere in between for others.

12 ms is incredibly short. What makes you think it's too slow for gaming?
