Is my monitor dead?

Hello,
My second monitor seems to be not working any longer, and I was hoping someone could tell me if it's broken.

The basic scenario is that, while playing a game on monitor and looking at strategy on the other, the second monitor was covered with random colors. I turned it off, and now when I turn it back on nothing displays. It seems to recognize when it's getting signal, as the power LED changes colors correctly. Catalyst controller also recognizes that it's there.

It seems clear that it's dead, but I'm curious as to why, and what happened; there didn't seem to be any forewarning. And since I'm ignorant about it, I'm hoping that it's actually fine and there's a simple solution.

Try the monitor with another PC, will tell you if it's dead pretty quick. Could be the port on the card is dead. Move the monitors around on the connection, try it then. If none of that makes the monitor work, it's dead.
