Question Is my monitor dead?

Is my monitor dead? I've been using this monitor without any problems for the past four years. However, when playing a game today, all of a sudden the brightness raised on its own, and the screen began flickering with shadows under the texts and a black transparent line on the top of the screen.

Ram: Crucial 2 x 8GB DDDR4 2666
SSD/HDD: 1 x Crucial MX 500 sata, 1x WD 570 1tb Nvme/1x Toshiba 7200 rpm 2TB.

Try connecting the display to another device to see if the issue occurs again.

Also, make sure connections are firmly attached or even swapping cables.

Yes, I connected my fire tv stick and still have the same issue.

Sounds like the display is likely the issue. Have you tried an alternate HDMI cable or port on the display itself (seems it has two of them)?

I turned on the monitor without any input signal and still have the issue.

It has gotten worse now.


1080p or 1440p with 60 Hz is ok. Also, I only play single player and co op games, so any decent monitor is fine for me.

Budget is under 20000 indian rupees.
Any brand other than Benq

LG makes good products. The ultra-wide curved screen is an "acquired taste" and not one I prefer. You may (or may not) like it.

I ordered the LG ultrawide because i have never used a widescreen, and it is on sale now It costs the same as the samsung 27inch with the special offer.

Hello, should i be worried? I just got it today, and it has backlight bleeding.

Yes, I set 100% brightness and contrast to test backlight bleeding. According to this video, i only have backlight bleeding in one area, and the rest are ips glow.
