Is My Monitor Dying? (flicker issue)

Hello. I have a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW, which I purchased brand new early in 2006, and it's worked perfectly until just a few days ago. I turn my monitor off before I go to bed, and haven't had any issues until the other day, when the monitor started flickering on and off for approximately 10 seconds before staying on. It only seems to occur after long periods of being left off. I'm wondering if this is a sign that it's going to die soon? I'd appreciate any help you can provide! Thanks!

Just got back from work, and turned my monitor on. And again it flickered. But this time it did it for about 30 seconds... for a second I thought it was going to stay like that, but luckily it didn't...
