Hello,

I just got an used Mitsubishi Diamond PRo 2060u for fairly cheap (270US). I know it is supposed to be a good monitor, however, I have noticed a few shortcomings.

1) The image near the 4 border looks a little fuzzy. Any text 1/2 an inch near the borders would turn a little yellowish, and gets a little more blurry. I do not think this is normal.

2) This monitor does NOT look as bright as my Viewsonic PF790. ALthough I have calibrated this monitor very carefuly follwing some guides I found off the internet.

I realize this is a graphics series monitor, but it should still display text very sharply. So far, I am disappointed with this product.

The fuzzy text near the bottom is really bothering me, and I could try to return this within 30 days. Should I take a chance and keep it, or should I go ahead and try to return it?

Thanks in advance

Ming

PS. I'm using this monitor with a Geforce MX440 running at 1600x1200@85Hz.

Well, I figured out this monitor is pretty much toast. I only bought this monitor used because it still has 1 year of factory warranty left. Now I am debating if I should drop it off at their repair depot (pretty close to my work), or if I should pay $100 to shipping it to NEC/Mitisubshi and get a refurb.

What would you guys do? :)

If its still under warranty, drop it off at their repair depot. Might as well get it fixed as opposed to living with a crappy monitor.

Soon is relative, all monitors are gonna die soon, just some sooner than others.
Kind of like us...
