I have Sapphire ati r9 270x graphic card and a samsung B2030 monitor display . My monitor does not have hdmi input and also it does not support full HD . Do i need to upgrade my monitor so that I can get full quality of display out of my graphic card ? Also i have an external TV Tuner card which is attached to Tata Sky HD TV setupbox . Even when i turn on the TV mode i dont get HD quality view of the TV on my display .

its like this the higher the resolution the more pixels more inch , the Samsung supports a resolution of 1600 x 900 , most people if they are buying a gpu which supports 1920 x 1080 often get a monitor to match it. of course if your monitor supports 1600 x 900 but you have no money to buy a new monitor then its fine your graphics card will just run at 1600 x 900. so are you better off getting a 1920 x 1080 display definatly is is needed no of course not you could plug a monitor thats 720p for all it cares but ya know 1080p (1920 x 1080) is much better

Yeah, it'll look a bit better, if you're using it gaming, you got to look for response time, the one I linked is full HD with 2ms response, not too bad. One of the most popular and cheaper ones that's out there.

yes look for the resolution (1920x1080) look for a high refresh rate 60-75hz , look for the small response time (between 1ms and 5ms) look for a hdmi port on the monitor (not all have this some only have vga). also the size may effect you for example if your a big person 24" is about the perfect size (it is for me) but if your not a big person 20-22" should be fine.
