That just sounds like the game isn't making particularly good use of SLI. If you're getting the same FPS as him then I'd say you're okay, since I believe 2 970s should perform anywhere from a little worse to a little better than a single 1070, depending on how well the game supports SLI (it never scales perfectly - adding the second card never doubles performance, and the gains you get from it vary game by game)

Ok but is a i5 4960k good for SLI? or do you have any suggestion for a CPU around this price? (I'm talking about the price of the 4960k)

And I'm using windows 7 btw. should I upgrade to win10?

I'd say you should probably be fine, I have a 4690k paired with a 1070 and it keeps up fine with that (I believe the 1070 should be slightly faster than 2x970 SLI), although I can't imagine the 4690k is that much faster than the 4460

The best CPU around the price of an i5-4690k, that is compatible with Z97? Errm, that would be the i5-4690k... It's the fastest 4th gen i5 available. Once you jump up to i7s, the price goes up

My brother have the exact same Specs as you. He gets the same fps as me, but idk if I should change processorm because it's weird that my 2 GPUS are only getting 50-75% usage each in GTAV. I expected getting around 95-100%
