So, i have been experiencing trouble to boot from sleep mode after i changed my pc room. It is extremely annoying when you go somewhere for like 45 minutes and then my pc won't get on. I have to do a restart from the power button. Also i had a vacation (1 week), cmos reset and it worked fine for about 4 days. Also after i reset bios settings it worked for 1 startup from sleep mode. This is my older pc since the gaming build still has no psu and no case.
Old pc specs: 1x2 gb ram (1 stick broken)
Motherboard: Asus M2N68-VM
Cpu: Amd Athlon II x2 4200
Gpu: Asus radeon hd 4870 512 mb
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
This build is about 8 years old, since then i just planned on building a pc what i could do my schoolwork with and so it would run some old games ok.

It's more likely your Windows installation is 'breaking'.

I've had the same problem with Windows10 on my system: ever since a recent update my system won't recover from either 'sleep' mode or 'hibernate' mode. I've tried everything...I've even reviewed the Event Log for the Event ID's and failures then google- searched for others having similar problems.

It turns out it has to do with a 'hybrid-sleep' mode and a lot of people experience the same problem. There are tons of suggestions most of which helped one person and that's it. In the end, the only common suggestion is to disable sleep / hibernate modes and Fast Startup (which is really a form of Hibernate Mode)and get an SSD so that startup is faster than trying to hibernate or hybrid sleep.

Then just shut the system down when you want a break.
