Is my motherboard compatible with an AMD FX 8320?

Motherboards are not my strong side so i am wondering if i get an AMD FX 8320 will it work with my mobo?

I am mostly an Intel guy, but by looking at the sockets, it looks like they are compatible. They are both AM3+

i dont think it will work. it can take upto 95W and FX is 125W.

It does not support the FX8320 as its a 125w cpu and the motherboard will only support a FX8300 which is a 95w cpu.

Make sure you flash to latest bios version before any cpu upgrade.

Good point, I didn't realize this. I only looked at the socket type :/
