Is my motherboard compatible with any of the processors from this website?

Hello just wondering if my motherboard is compatible with any processor other then the LGA1155 sockets ? Especially from the following website ? It seems they have no LGA1155 socket types? Are they discontinued ? Thank you in advance

Your motherboard is ONLY compatible with LGA 1155 processors - there is no way around this.

The only supported processors are found on this list - http://www.gigabyte.com.au/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4168

And the reason you don't find LGA 1155 processors on that site is because that platform is dead and Intel has long moved on.

Yes I thought as much . So I will need a new motherboard as well . What's a good socket and processor choice for gaming these days any idea ?

LGA 1151 is the latest from Intel if you want to future-proof yourself.

If you want something slightly cheaper that performs as well as Skylake you can always stick to one generation older and buy a Core i5-4690K and a Z97 motherboard.
