This is the description from the website (MSI 970A-G43)

Main Memory

• Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 1066/1333/1600/1866/2133* (OC) DRAM, 32GB Max
• Supoorts Dual-Channel mode

Will my motherboard be able to take 2 sticks of 4GB DDR3 2133MHz ?

Thanks for the help!

Solution

Yes it does.

However, note that it is labelled as "OC" which means that no commercially available CPU natively supports DDR3-2133. The latest AMD FX series microprocessors and Intel Ivybridge-E natively support up to DDR3-1866, but speeds higher than this require overclocking the memory controller and stable operation is not guaranteed. Furthermore, additional tweaking may be required.

DDR3-2133 is only used commercially in the XBox One.
It should. But it would run the memory at 1866Mhz or less depending also on your cpu FSB (front side bus). not unless you overclock the settings of your motherboard bios to make use of the 2133Mhz speed of your memory. Other than not getting the full 2133Mhz speed of your memory it should still be compatible with the board. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks! I just ordered a pair of 4GB DDR3 2133MHz 1.5V. Once I have it, I will try to overclock these to something very close to 2133MHz. Right now, I have pair of 1333MHz overclocked to 1700MHz. I hope to see more improvement in performance in Battlefield 4 (going from 1333 to 17000 has already shown a bit of improvement in multiplayers)
