Hi,

I have an Asus motherboard model P8Z77-V LX with an Intel i5 3570k CPU and I am considering getting an EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3Gb GPU. My power supply is 650W. Will the GPU be compatible?

Thanks

Hi Vapour, thanks for the quick reply and recommendation.

My PSU is the Corsair TX650.

How about the EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 but in the 6Gb version. The extra VRAM may help.

If you really want the more performance then just go for a 4gb card like the 4gb rx 480, now with the 1060 the clock and memory clock on it are practically the same with only a 100mhz difference and the 3gb of gddr5, I guess you COULD go with the 1060 6gb but the bottleneck would be a bit more than the 3gb, if you want less of a bottleneck then oc your cpu, which you motherboard is very capabale of but do not use the 580 as that will give a severe bottleneck unless u use their 4gb version, hope this helps.

Let me correct myself as I’m new with the new and gpus, the rx580 is a good choice (sorry for misleading info) but in my opinion is not worth the money, if you want a good card I would personally suggest that 1060 6gb or a 970 which is a solid card all around
