i have a B150M Pro4 right now and im thinking of buying a i7 8700k but im not to sure if its compatible with my motherboard please help?!

Have you updated the board's BIOS, or it's a new board? If BIOS updated, then yes, it's a good option, taking into account that it's almost the same price like the non-k one.

Download BIOS update and read "How to update" instructions.
There are 3 ways to update BIOS. Windows and InstantFlash methods are easiest.

See your motherboard manual.
Options probably include a boot-to-USB stick method, or Windows application.

I prefer USB, and make sure it's a known RELIABLE USB stick.

Presumably it makes more sense once you INSTALL THE SOFTWARE FROM THE CD then follow instructions.

You need v7.00 or later.

*actually, you should update to latest anyway (currently v7.30) as there are security updates (Spectre/Meltdown)

I did add more to my post, but what does "Waiting for the 4th one" mean?

OH.. my 4th post?

If so I posted then went to the manual to do more research. I don't generally like to go back and changes posts if I've been away for a while. Not sure why that would concern you either way but whatever.
