My motherboard is a asus, and the model is K30AD_M31AD_M51AD_M32AD. Just wondering thinking about upgrading ram

I checked the Asus website, and each of those series of numbers and letters is a different model desktop PC. Assuming that they are all running similar hardware, your computer is using a 4th gen Intel processor, which will only support DDR3 RAM. I may be able to give you a more definite answer if you can find out which model your desktop is.
