Is my motherboard dead?

I just purchased an Asus Z170-E motherboard a few days ago to build my first PC. The build was going well until I had to turn the computer on. Everything was hooked up correctly but nothing happened when I pressed the power button. I don't have a monitor until Friday but I was wondering if I should be concerned about the lack of activity, specifically of the case fans and CPU cooler not powering on.

The PSU passed the paperclip test so I think the problem is the motherboard itself or my wiring of the power switches is incorrect. I will attach pictures of everything.

My two questions are should I be concerned about the the fans not turning on even if I don't yet have my monitor to access POST/BIOS? And what is the molex connector in the one picture in the wires? I can't find anything about it in the case manual or motherboard manual and there are no female molex connectors anywhere.

CPU - I5-6600K
Ram - 16 GB DDR4 2400, only 1 currently installed
Mobo - ASUS Z170-E LGA 1151
PSU - Thermaltake Toughpower TPD-0750M - SLI / CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Gold Certification and Semi Modular Cables
Case - Rosewill Galaxy-02 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
I do not have a GPU.

Three more pictures. The first shows the front panel button connections based on the manual. The second and third are of the motherboard connections. I have the 24 pin and 8 pin plugs connected as well as the CPU cooler. PSU button is in the on position during tests.

1) u should clear ur BIOS by using jumper or clear CMOS button.......then update ur BIOS to latest version.
2) borrow someones working PSU and test on that.
in most of these cases....psu turnout to be main culprit.

I already cleared the CMOS by jumping it at well as removing the battery.

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who I can use to test my PSU but I just tested it again myself using the HDD and a fan. Sure enough, both turned on when they were connected to the PSU. To me, the motherboard is looking more and more like the culprit.

Just saw that your buttons, speaker and leds are wrongly connected.

Disconnect all of them, including the speaker and just plug in the power button to pin 6 and 8:

try to power on (hopefully you installed the CPU heat sink already. Don't power on without it!)

the red wires are always "+" and black wires are always "-"

in case of the speaker +5V = red wire , signal = black wire
