So I recently purchased a new PSU for my PC, I was having issues with my GPU sending a signal/the motherboard picking it up, resulting in my relying on the on-board Intel GPU. I had thought the problem was with low power, it was an old 300w PSU that I assumed was failing. I had a couple occurrences where I would not get a post beep as well, and I chalked it up to failing power.
When I got the new PSU (cx450m) I installed it and found that I was having the same issues. So I went ahead and attempted to find the proper places for the plugs, assuming I missed something. I hadn't forced anything, but some things had fit quite loosely, and after attempting those plugs the computer would not respond to the PSU whatsoever, not receiving any power at all.
Did I fry my motherboard? I tried swapping back to the old PSU (fsp-300) but it wouldn't work. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
More specs:
CPU: i5 @3.2
Integrated GPU: Intel HD (R)
Add GPU: AMD Radon 5570
6 GB RAM
Motherboard: H57H-AM2
At this point I can confirm that the PSU is hooked up properly to the motherboard, but when I turn on the PSU and then the PC there is no power at all.
