Question Is my motherboard dead?

My system is about 5 years old. Got a new gpu the other day, plugged it in. System was running like a champ. Shut down the computer at the end of the day. Woke up today went to turn on the PC, nothing. No lights on the motherboard or GPU.

Unplugged everything from the motherboard except for the 24pin, still no lights. I jumped my PSU and that turns on just fine, also has a self test button which works.

So only thing I can think of is my motherboard just randomly bit the dust overnight? Anyone think it might be something else?

Is the total wattage of all your components more than the PSU?

nope, it's an 860 watt psu, and with everything plugged in i'd only need about 500.
