Is my motherboard dying?

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone could help me please. Last month I purchased an ex-display Gigabyte 990fxa-UD3 from eBuyer, and since installing it I've had a whole lot of persistent issues, the whole computer will randomly lag or freeze for about 30 seconds to a couple of minutes, then spring back into life, Windows randomly freezes for no reason, and the occasional Blue Screen

Could this be a sign that they sold me a faulty motherboard? Or could something else be the issue? such as a failing SSD where Windows is installed?

any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance.

(PS, I have ran multiple Virus Scans, tried reinstalling windows dozens of times and tried updating ALL drivers)
