Question Is my motherboard junk(SOLVED)

My computer isn't turning on and none of the lights on the motherboard are turning on either. I tested my psu with a paper clip and the fan started to spin so I know that's not the problem. Any other common problems that would stop my motherboard from powering on?

Motherboard: Msi b550 gaming edge wifi
Ram: 16gb ddr4 3200
PSU: Corsair 650w

2. I just finished building it and when trying to power it on nothing happened. No debug lights no motherboard leds nothing.

Go through ALL the steps. Verify...don't assume.
At what step does it fail?

I checked each step and I followed it. I don't think these would make a difference in my case anyway. My motherboard supports bios flashback so it can turn on and light up with just the 32 pin and cpu cable connected. My motherboard did not do that however. Should I replace the motherboard?

Did you put the stand offs under the mobo before fixing on the case ?
