Is my motherboard overheating?

Hi,

I'm not especially tech savvy but I've been studying hard to try fix a lag problem on my comp. I discovered CPUID HWMonitor thanks to this site a few days ago and I realised that perhaps both my motherboard and CPU are overheating. From my forum research, I figure the motherboard may be a faulty reading so I thought I'd ask for help at this point. I installed CPUID, Speccy and speedfan to compare

So my motherboard is at 113C according to CPUID and Speedfan but Speccy has a more normal 28C. Also, CPUID "Min" value is 114C, surely the motherboard would heat up? So a faulty sensor? Do you know what causes this?

A side question if I could, my processor is hitting 100C sometimes (during gaming), at which point the core clocks drop to about 800MHz. Im guessing this is the source of my lag problem, as the CPU throttles to stop the processor melting?

Thanks for any help you can give me

I have two exit slots with fans blowing out and three entry slots close to the bottom of the case aswell as having the cables tied back and out of the way. I also gave it as thorough a clean as I can recently. I cant see that being the problem...

I don't know why you would need third party software to check the temps on a Asus Z87-K. Your problem is likely with the third party software.

Two exit slots with unknown size fans sounds like poor cooling to me. I don't know what kind of cooling, three entry slots close to the bottom of the case aswell is supposed to be.
