I just bought a new graphics card from best buy. I picked up a evga gtx 750 ti. The part number is 02g-p4-3759-kb I bought this upgrading from an evga gtx 560 ti which is 01g-p3-1460-kr

I bought it and a friend of mine just basically said i wasted 160 bucks because i won't get better performance out of the 750 ti. Is this true? i'm new to understanding how these things work and build and this is my first time i've upgraded anything from my first pc build.

A 2% performance advantage in favor of the GTX 750 Ti isn't going to be noticeable performance-wise. You'll use a lot less power though.
my motherboard is a 970a-d3 with a AMD FX6200 and a 500 W power supply. is there a way in my computer to utilize both cards out side of SLI to improve my performance. my 560 ti was just not able to do multiple displays running my game and streaming software and i was hoping this new card could do that for me.
