Many things can cause BSOD. Usually it is do to an instability somewhere. Instabilities can be caused by unclean power so yes the PSU could have been the culperate. The only way to know for sure is to run a burn in test which will push your system. In you case I would recommend Furmark because it is a good graphics test as games require more from you graphics than any thing else. You could also run Prime 95 to test your CPU and Memory. If every thing is fine try switching back to your old PSU and test again to confirm. Let us know how it went.

sorry i meant to say that is restarted again like before i had replaced my psu. Also i did a furmark test for a half hour at 1920x1080p with 8xmsaa didnt overheat or restart. the temp stayed at 62c underload. But i looked at my hardware monitor and only 300 to 400 mbs were being used from the card. Is this normal for a Furmark test? I also did a prime95 cpu test for an hour and no restart. Im Thinking it could have just been a hiccup. Maybe i got a voltage surge and my psu shut down before it could reach my vital components.

Interesting usually any stabilities will show up during one of these tests. It could be a cold solder joint on your motherboard where it only rears its head once in a great while. If you have a new board on the way then it sounds like you have the problem covered. One last test you could do is a Hyper Pi test which tests the memory and therefore the north bridge but Prime should have done that too.

The other thing you could try is Memtest 86 which will test your memory specifically.
