Is my notebook loaded with stalkware

My computer was a gift from my daughter's father. I have noticed suspicious log-in activity in my email account and have other reasons to suspect that I may have been gifted with a trojan horse. How can I find out the first log in date (from the consumer) as he is unwilling to provide a purchase receipt? I want to see if the computer was used before I removed it from the box. Thanks

make your restore disks if you didnt when you first setup the system and then restore to factory setting which should wipe the original windows install and put it on fresh again. You might also want to boot from a boot disk and run an antivirus/malware/rootkit scan from something outside of the HDD.
