Is my OCZ PSU defective?

I have a OCZ StealthXstream 700W that has a pretty loud fan. I can hear it from like 15 feet away. To test its relative loudness, I put in a Corsair TX650W in its place and my PC went silent. The only thing I can hear sitting right in front of it is the very low humming noise from the case fan. Wow, what a difference.
Now I know Corsair is generally regarded as better and quieter, but is it that much quieter? I meant OCZ isn't exactly junk either.

Competent technical reviews have revealed problems and issue with the OCZ StealthXstream 700, ModXstream 700, and GameXstream 700 power supplies.
It appears as if OCZ took shortcuts in order to reduce manufacturing costs.

I'd say it is more of a situation where you did not get what you paid for.

Exactly. I meant the OCZ StealthXstream was no high end model but it is not exactly cheap either. But this piece of crap is making my computer sound like a typhoon making landfall. The Corsair is only $15 more (albeit the Corsair is also 50W less powerful), but it is vastly superior in terms of noise, literally the most awesome PSU I have ever owned. I will never buy OCZ again and will always buy Corsair.
