Is my old PSU good enough to power my new system? (having crashes during gaming)

I just build a new system but kept the four year old PSU. Now I'm having crashes in graphics-heavy games and I wonder if the PSU is the culprit. I used the method in the sticky but I'm in doubt about how much power the PSU has lost over the years. So here's my system:

Antec 900 case with 4 fans (with leds)
Asrock Z87 extreme4
i5 4670k
Gigabyte gtx 670 windforce
2 x 4 GB Ram (G.skill Ripjaws)
Coolermaster 212 evo
one 60 GB SSD
one 1 TB HDD
one 500 GB HDD
dvd-drive

and of course the (4-year old) PSU: Corsair VX 550 watt

I would invest in a newer PSU.

Replace your psu, but your pc should run fine tho unless degradation?

Needs replacing if your ocing.

that is a entry level series from Corsair, and is a little old too(tend to lose power), So I recommend something like TX,GS,HX series, considering that the GTX670 max TDP is 170W, I recommend a 600W~700W PSU for having more headroom on that system, and taking into acount future upgrades.

No offence but i don't think anyone would run underpowered or old psu (no offence )but you even said your playing: graphics-heavy games.

And if so, you also said IF the psu is the culprit. so there could be more to this story.

Could be your ram,
could be your cpu,
could be your psu.
