Question Is my old SSD still good enough for a wipe and fresh new OS?

I'm starting to upgrade old PC, going from windows 7 to 10.

This is my current one Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB ATA Device.

I did a quick performance test. I've been out the loop for long time, will this still be good enough?

Yes.
That performance is right on track for a 840 EVO, and quite similar to a current 860 EVO.
I have 2 of those, and performance is near identical to the 850 and 860 EVO cousins in this same PC.
