Is my Pc better than a ps4?

Thank you, Is there a specific reason though? If I had to guess I would say its my cpu or ram.

It's pretty close to the same gaming performance wise. But only because console games are always max optimized for their particular platform. If a game was optimized for your pc then you would see better performance.

In order probably the gpu, then cpu, then ram. Something more comparable to the ps4 would be the gtx 760 when you factor in that the games are optimized for the ps4 and the ps4 doesnt have a lot of background programs to run. Also you must take into account that altough the ps4's cores are weaker there are 8 of them and they are much more optimized for the game, compared to just 2 of the i3. Also the ps4 has 8gb ram.

CPU is fine. Ram, is fine if it's dual channel. If you had a 660 or even a 650ti boost you'd be ahead.

it's not really close when it comes to gaming. The PS4 is built for gaming so even if you had the upgraded RAM and GPU to match it, like TG said, it still wouldn't optimized for gaming. You have to go a a bit above the specs of the PS4 to get there, and with your GPU and RAM you're not even matching.

That's simply talking power though. If you want to look at options then PC wins... always. I have a PS4 and a great PC and the PC is simply a better gaming platform and will always be as long as you build the right machine and don't care as much about how it looks on a 50" screen and more about how it preforms on a 24" screen.

Also in FPS, mouse+keyboard > all

Thank you all for the great answers. After reading ill stick with my ps4 when getting Dying Light, Thief, and the new Dragon Age. Have to go pc for Dark Souls II though.

That's 8gb shared graphics ram (GDDR5), 3.5gb of which is dedicated to the Operating system. Also, i'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure it's 800Mhz.

I think it is pretty close and one thing is that your PC can at least easily be upgraded unlike the PS4.

Doesn't have a lot to do with your question and just a personal option of mine (and pretty much everyone else I know) but Thief is a huge letdown and there's no way I would have even borrowed the game much less bought it after playing it. It's simple, boring, and worst of all very linear. Nothing like the original which were fun and you're better off playing Dishonored if you want that game type.
