So I pretty much know nothing about computers, but I've been saving up for my own gaming PC and I wanted to make my own. This is my first PC build ever so feel free to add suggestions and stuff like if there is something cheaper that gives better performance or something like that. My budget is around $1000 and here's what I came up with.

CPU: Intel i5 4670k $220
CPU Cooler: Cool Master Hyper 212 EVO $30
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A ATX LGA1150 $140
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600 $80
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM $60
SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB $90
Graphics Card: MSi Twin Frozr GTX760 2GB $250
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid-Tower $55
PSU: Corsair CX600 $50
Around $975 (might change because of sales etc. but will stay around the same price)
I have some left-over monitors, mouses, etc. So that's why it isn't included.
Would love some feedback and suggestions.
Merry Christmas, everyone! ^-^

Where are you buying from? If it's in the U.S, then you're over-paying for some parts.
-The RAM and psu is overpriced. You can easily save ~$30 off the RAM and ~$30 off the psu.
-The case is over-price and it's a low quality case. You can get a better quality case like the Corsair 200R or Bitfenix Shinobi at around the same price.
-A 1tb HDD should only cost ~$60.
-I wouldn't go with Ivy Bridge as it uses a dead socket. Grab the newer i5-4670k with the ASRock Z87 Extreme4, Asus Z87-A, or Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H (whichever is cheaper).

Alrighty, going with the processor you recommended and the ASUS mobo since it was cheapest. Changed to the Corsair CX600 for $70 ($50 with rebate on Newegg) instead of the gaming one. The $90 for the HDD was a type lol changing back to $60

Wow, thanks a ton :D Going with the recommended cheaper items, but is the Team Dark RAM on par/better than the Corsair one? It looks kinda bad and I've heard many good things about Corsair's products. Chose the Corsair case too :3
Anyways, thanks so much for your help. Enjoy your points :D
