I want to ask if my PC is good enough to run games like Crysis, Modern Warfare 2, GTA IV, Dirt2... here are the details:

-Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66GHz with a Thermal Take i1 cooler :D (disipator)
-4GB RAM
-Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits :)
-Ati HD 4670 1GB with overclock (ATi OverDrive)

And that's all guys. I'll be waiting for answers.

P.D: I upgraded the processor and windows, before that i was having %$&$: Intel Pentium D 2.80GHz and now i have Intel Core 2 Duo...

Solution

Over clock your processor to at least 3.0 or 3.2 ghz and get a better video card like a 5770 and you should be fine. Don't believe that quad core crap, maybe in a year or two but for now a dual core is fine.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Your biggest problem is the budget video card you have right now. Every modern computer game runs fine with a C2D processor.

apologies for the quad core... caamsa and nowa are right (not important anymore but of course your socket supports quad core, it's the same one)
But i stand with upgrading your video card and since you won't bee needing more money for the cpu then i guess you can get a better video card

Splendid

Just because the socket supports quad cores, doesn't mean the motherboard does.

Another thing.. i play at high resolution when i see the game with medium graphics level for example when i play GTA SA i play at max. resolution supported by my screen (1440x900) and when i play GTA IV.. well i play at the same resolution but i can be playing at 1280x1024 if i want more performance but if the game is easy to run by my card... i play 1440x900

Any PC will work for gaming if you adjust your audio and video (hardware) settings to the level of your PC. If you have an old system, you will probably have to turn down or off all the video settings especially texture settings.
