I have tried out the HTC Vive on a friend's PC and I really want one. At the moment I even have the cash to get one. I want to get one of the new HTC Cosmos. Can I run one though, that is the question?
My system:
CPU: Intel Core i7 8700
Memory: 16Gb DDR4
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8Gb
It runs every game I have at their highest quality settings but I've read that VR headsets require pretty powerful PCs. Anyone know if mine is powerful enough?
Reading the specs on the HTC website it says I need at least an Intel Core i5 4590. Am I right in assuming an i7 is better? I don't know enough about computer specs to know the difference. Their site also says that I need at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB. Again, am I right in assuming mine is better than that? I don't know what the difference is between an RTX and a GTX graphics card.
