Question Is my Pentium G5400 compatible with ASUS B250M PLUS/BR?

Hi.
I already bought this combo and forgot to make a deep search before... So now I believe I might have an imcpatible duo...

At first I thought I only neeeded to update my motherboard BIOS in order to use this CPU... Turns out this CPU is not listed as compatible with this motherboard chipset (B250).

So... Do I need to buy another one of them or they will work out together?

I don't think that they will work together.
It's a 7th gen motherboard with an 8th gen chip.

That's what I thought so... What compatible hardware you suggest me to fetch instead? An equivalent 8th gen motherboard or and equivalent 7th gen CPU?
