Can't burn any CD's with my Plextor 12x4x32, it used to work fine.
Evertime I try to make a copy I get a track write error, and buffer under-run error.
No matter if I am burning from Hard DRIVE or from my UltraPlexWIDE 40X CD-ROM.
Only time the drive works, is when making backups with CDRES-Q in DOS. That works fine.
I am going nutz trying to figure this out, I tryed another cable and still no-luck.
I also get weird boot problems ONLY when the drive is hooked up and powered on. Sometimes my computer will boot, but I will have no mouse, and I will see the little PCMCIA controller icon in the task-bar next to my clock.
Think the driving is failing? I tryed different software and still same problems, BUT SO WEIRD it will make a backup with CDRESQ fine.
If the drive is dead, I was out of warranty with receipt only 10 days ago, I don't think I will buy another Plextor burner, I rarely used the damm thing, maybe made 50 CD's tops in the year I have had it.
When I dis-connect the burner, the weird boot problems go away.
