[SOLVED] Is my power supply good enough for a 1080ti?

Hello I was wondering if this power supply is enough to upgrade to a 1080ti Graphics Card or any of the best graphics cards out there like the EVGA 2080ti

I just checked that PSU on Amazon and scrolled down the specifications of the listing.

Date First Available July 11, 2007.

Please don't use this PSU with a 1080ti unless you want it to burn

I would replace that PSU asap. 13 years old model PSU.

Antec makes decent power supplies.
Your unit has a 6 pin and an 8 pin output.
That is what a normal GTX1080ti requires.
There are some factory overclocked cards out there that need two 8 pin connectors which you do not have.
Do not buy one of those versions.

It seems to be based on a really old, but individually regulated unit. Maybe related to Seasonic SS-HT, I'd rank it among the bare minimum PSUs compared to modern ones. I'd worry about aging, though. 10-year-old+ PSU isn't something that you should use to power a high-end GPU IMO.

So long as you will use a normal GTX1080ti with only a 6 pin and 8 pin connector, you should be ok.

As to a replacement psu, I like the seasonic focus units.
The seasonic focus GX650 actually has 4 6+2 outputs.
Gold rated with a 10 year warranty.
