Hello guys!
Yesterday just after installing the windows 10 1511 in my PC, it started rebooting several times with the bios post message "Asus Anti-surge has shutted down to prevent problems from a unstable power supply..." or something like that.
So here are some useful info i can provide you in order to understand this case:
This is my setup:
Board: Asus P8Z77V-LX
Processor: Intel Core i3-3240
RAM: 2 x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz
1 x Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB SDD
3 x Seagate 4TB Sata 6GB/s
VisionTek Radeon HD 6750 1GB videocard
!!!PSU: Cooler Master GX650 wich has about 4 years of use.
this is the first time it occurs since i bought the psu. I doesn't seem it is voltage variations of the electricity because my friends' in my office PC doesn't experiment changes at all. I plugged my pc directly to the outlet without the protection of the UPS and it happened too, so i discard the ups.
actually i worked without UPS because its battery was bad since january to march, but 2 weeks ago I replaced its battery. there was some blackouts in that period. looking at the system monitor in the bios all voltage parameters from the psu lines are OK! there is no signal of overload.
So what can i do before spend money buying a new psu?
did the blackouts could affect my psu and now is malfunctioning?
can the windows 10 cause this problem(I don't think so but i have to ask) what a conicidence that it never happened, and now, just 10 minutes after installing the new version of windows, it happens...
should i see the voltage parameters of the psu running windows with AIDA64 or Speccy while the PC is demanding more power than just the bios?
I am very worried about this guys
I will appreciate all help you can provide me.
Roland.
