So recently, i swapped cases to a NZXT S340. after i was done i put the power cable in and noticed cracking. the cracking noise was familiar before i switched cases and that was when the cracking was coming from the actual cable because it wasn't connected properly. the power cable went in smoke for bit NOT the power supply, so now my power cable is a little beat up but it still worked. but after this case switch it doesn't look like its coming from my power cable anymore 🙁

Manually jam your finger in each case fan and see if the clicking goes away. Sounds like mechanical issues. Also, if you have a modular PSU, replace the cable that you burnt up a little. It will oxidize quicker now and may (probably not) cause problems in the future. If it is not a fan, try taking power out of physical hard drives to see if the clicking still exists

the thing is, my computer doesn't even turn on haha. as soon as i plug the cable into the power supply it starts clicking. i try turning on my computer and nothing happens. it just keeps crackling and clicking
