is my power supply strong enough?

I got a new computer recently, custom built, but i don't think the psu is strong enough. It's running at about 500 watts and every time i play skyrim with it my computer turns off by itself, im getting a new 800 watt psu, i just want to know if it'll be enough, here are my specs
windows 7 64-bit
geforce gtx 560
amd athlon (tm) II x4 processor
8 gigs of ram, only 4 are usable though
please feel free to ask for more info if needed

Hi - actually a good quality 500w PSU would run that system fine. I suspect you have a poor quality
PSU, and suggest you don't buy a poor quality 800w unit. A good quality 550 is more than sufficient for
that system
