is my processor dead or is my motherboard dead

my pc turns off and then turns back on and nothing else happens but once i take out the cable for the cpu power it stays on but no display. also my power supply is working i tested it on similar pc build
please help me.

PC SPECS:
I5 7600K
msi z270 gaming m3
cooler master evo 212
ballistix 2x4gb ddr4
corsair 500 watt power supply
1tb hard drive
asus gtx 1060 3gb

I'd suggest to run the system without the GPU. Are you given an error code?

i tried running with no gpu and nothing happened the same this as before happened

-Could it be the GPU malfunctioning? Can you test it in that similar system?
-Run the computer with one of the two RAM sticks.
-Also, remove the MB battery and put it back again after 15mins.
-Do you have warranty for the MB? You may need to RMA it. It may be damaged. Was it working normally before?

i did try running with only one ram stick and also removed the battery and put it back in and still got nothing. I tested the GPU and it is working fine and the motherboard never worked normally

Many motherboards arrive damaged. Yours may be one of 'em. RMA it.
