currently got an intel core i5 3470 3.2 ghz cpu, is this good enough for virtual reality?

did the steam vr test and i got like 120+ fps normally but i'm uncertain as to if this is accurate or not

anyways any feedback is appreciated!

It's definitely on the low end for VR. Most games should run okay, but some of the more demanding titles may struggle to hold 90FPS, making nausea a possibility. Would also help to know which GPU you have, as that is usually a more important factor.

It's the realistic minimum for VR. HTC lists the GTX 970 and R9 390 as minimums and that's about where the 1060 3GB sits performance wise. Bottom line is you're basically skirting by on the minimum with your system so you may have some issues with more demanding VR titles.

well from what i've seen the 1060 3gb preforms more than enough for medium settings on titles, so i think i'll still buy the vive
