Is my processor powerful enough?

Basically, I'm wondering if my AMD FX-8350 bottlenecks my MSI GTX 750. I've used both of them for several months now, and in the majority of games I get 60 FPS no problem on ultra. However, I recently started playing BeamNG.Drive, and several other CPU-heavy games, and it really started driving home that my CPU could be bottlenecking. Is it, and if it is, what is the cheapest CPU I could get that wouldn't bottleneck an MSI 970?

Solution
The FX-8350 should not bottleneck a GTX 970 (or 750, i don't know why you mentioned two different GPUs), it's probably one of the best AMD CPUs right now. There's no point of upgrading. If you want to switch to Intel, you would need a new motherboard and a new CPU, which isn't worth the price.

Thank you... you saved me quite a bit of money, and I meant to type 970. My bad. My last GPU was a 750 TI, and I guess I'm still used to typing that.

No problem. Your computer should be strong for a few years, no need to upgrade for a while (unless you have very high demand on graphics).

Thanks again! While I'm asking, I have 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM. Should I consider upgrading, as a few games recommend it?

8GB of RAM should be fine for gaming. You can, but it's probably not going to improve gaming performance, if at all. If you have the extra cash, you might want to spend on something like a SSD (if you have one already, never mind), or just simply save it for your next computer build.

I've already got one, and thank you again. I'll probably go for a quieter computer case instead, this one's a bit loud.
