[SOLVED] Is my PSU bad?

I recently built my first pc. After a few days of running just fine with not crashes, my pc began to randomly shut off. After shutting off it would try to start back up again, sometimes succeeding and sometimes shutting right back off and trying again. It’s not at the point where I’ll turn it on for 5 min and it’ll shut off and keep trying to power on. I booted into Bios, safemode, and it shuts off in those too. Based on that I think I can rule out my graphics card, ram, cpu, and motherboard so I think I’ve narrowed it down to the psu.

Hard to say much since we know nothing about your PSU or even your PC.

Need to look at cooling as well. See if the cpu cooler is still doing a proper job.

I tested the internal temps and it’ll shut off even if everything is starting cold

PSU is a EVGA B5 750W, cpu intel i5 11600K, gpu gtx 1050 ti, motherboard is a aorus B560M Pro AX

What do you mean by ram? Like a broken stick or a dead channel?

If you're able, create a Memtest86 CD or USB thumb drive and test your RAM.

I tried but my pc shut off before I could even finish the diagnostic, I think I’m going to reset my pc to see if that does anything

If you have two sticks, which you should and probably have, test with one stick at a time. Just to see if the pc keeps running. Use the A2 slot which is the second from the cpu out.

I tried that too, and it did the same thing

This btw, nothing that says it cannot be the motherboard.

Did you test memtest with both sticks as well, see if they work fine together.

Since you are almost sure it's psu can you maybe test with another one? maybe a friend or local shop can help you out.

Yeah, it seems kinda odd. He doesn't need a 750W PSU, but even if he did, there are far better choices if he wants a 750W PSU anyway.

it may be a motherboard issue
i had exactly same issue then it just got worse wich leaded to the death of my motherb and psu don't play with you're pc take it to a repair shop who can test every component

Finish what diagnostic? Memtest? If it can't finish memtest with one or two sticks, then it's highly likely either the sticks are bad or the the motherboard's slots are bad.
