Is my PSU causing black screen?

I just recently got a new GPU, and when I am testing it out, it gave me black screen in some games almost right after starting, while some other games seem to be fine(at least for now).

When it goes black, my monitor would act as if there was no input signal, and I cannot reset my computer with the reset button. I must press the power button for 5 seconds to do a hard cycle.

I am sure heat was not the issue, I had another machine monitoring my temps via OpenHardwareMonitor web server, and my CPU temp was around 50C, as well as my GPU temp. My GPU load was at 100% but other games that did not crash my computer also hit 100%.

I am suspecting the issue to be caused by my PSU, it is Corsair VS650. My CPU is AMD FX8350 and GPU is R9 390X, both are quite power hungry. The PSU has 600W on 12V, which I though should be enough.

Now question is, how much is the chance that my PSU is causing the problem instead of a faulty GPU?

Update: So I bought a new PSU today, Corsair RM850i. There is a software from Corsair that you can see how much power is going in/out the PSU. Turned out the games that crashed my computer pull around 450W. The VS650 is not even 2 years old and I cannot believe it has degraded so much.

Recommended PSU for 390X with Intel CPU is 700 watts from a high quality PSU. With Fx-8350 around 750 watts. Corsair VS series are relatively low quality. I'd recommend a EVGA 750 G2 or B2 series as minimum power. With your GPU and CPU it wouldn't hurt to consider 850 watts. It will give some headroom to overclock. It's possible the GPU or PSU can cause your problem but the PSU is inadequate in any case.
