I have a Raidmax Hybrid 630w PSU for a few months now. I recently upgraded my PC.
I had a HP d5200t ATX with an IPIBL-TX motherboard, q9550 processor, and an Radeon HD5850.
My processor and DDR2 ram I had was slowing me down when video editing in Adobe Premiere.
I upgraded to a new processor (Core i7 3770k) and a new motherboard (asrock z77 extreme4) with upraded RAM (16gb corsiare enthusiast)
I transplanted and all was well for a few days (I did end up reinstalling my OS). well, yesterday when was rolling around near my desk, my knee slightly bumped the case, and the PC just shut off.
Now, i can't get it to turn on again. I tried disconnecting the cable for a while, then plugging it back in. I press the power button, the LED on the power button comes on briefly, and then it shuts off. the motherboard, fans, nothing turn on at all.
I'm guessing it's the PSU? I never reinstalled the 5850 yet as I am also gettin ga Gforce GTX570 because Adob Premiere takes advantage of the CUDA cores for rendering. I did have the 5850 in earlier when rebuilding but i oculdn't get the PC to boot so I ended up taking it out while finishing the reinstall of Windows.
I'm hoping I didn't do any damage to the new mobo or chip. I did wear a static arm band the entire time I was working. It cleraly happend the moment I bumped my PC.
All the standoffs are fine so I don't think anything short, but I might be wrong...
