Hey guy,

I want to know if you ever have 1080ti sli overclocked running with 1000w psu, does it enough power?

I was able to get 2 used Aorus GTX1080ti waterforce WB from trusted seller for good price in next 5days, as of now I wasnt sure if my Corsair HX1000i could handle 2x GTX1080ti at 2200mhz. Do I need to get bigger psu? Will 1200w enough or I need 1500w?

My spec
Cpu - R7 1700x (no overclock, current sitting at kraken x52)
Mobo - crosshair vi hero x370
Ram - 32GB g.skill trident z RGB
Psu - Hx1000i
Fan - 7 case fans
Storage - 1x M.2 SSD, 1x SSD, 2x HDD

Note: mu cpu will remain using Kraken x52 and I do not plan to overclock cpu as I play on 3440x1440 100mhz, I dont think overclock cpu will make different when having 2x GTX1080ti. Maybe in the future if ryzen 3 or 4 is worth the upgrade.

For the price I got for 2x GTX1080ti was $200 cheaper than used Evga 2080ti that I could get. After all if add water coolong gear it would cost the same. You think I should consider 2080ti ?.

Thanks guy

850W is the most the entire system will pull when you have a GTX1080Ti SLI'd. That being said, how old is your PSU? ON another note, you might want to reconsider the path of going SLI, it doesn't bring anything to the table except for probably compensating a deficit in your soul. Nvidia have already stated that they'll give SLI support but if dev's don't want to implement it, there's nothing Nvidia can do about that.

Nice build.

I used a calculator and got this: https://outervision.com/b/TDJ8I3

You should be good with 1000W, even if you add liquid cooling. You can always adjust those components in the PSU calculator though, just to be sure.

That's a negative on the 2080ti. They're way over-priced for their performance. Ray-tracing is pretty cool but it's brand new technology. Plus, a large number of the 2080ti's have been failing. I (and many others) are seriously disappointed with NVIDIA for pushing out these garbage cards and price gouging us.

I have a 1080ti on liquid, and I'd add another one before going to the 20 series any day!

My psu is about 1year, I don't think 850w will enough as I go for water cooling for both GPU (will overclock to 2200mhz). SLI support isn't my issue, as im just a casual gamer working 6days week plus study to do. Fps is not my problem, I just want badass looking pc.
