My setup is rated to only draw 394w and according to the Linustechtips site I am running a B Tier GD PSU. The PSU itself is only a 500w but I don't plan to overclock the PSU, I may undervolt it but in general I just plan to have a good 1440p ready PSU out of the box to replace my RX 580.

Min. Is 550w gold standard most recommend 650w or so. Honestly I would get something a little bigger that way you can get the full potential out of the 2070 S. I paired mine with a 650w gold may be a little extra but never hurts

Been looking more into it and yeah that seems to be the case. I don't really want to get a new PSU and I just got this current PSU.

I'm just going to go for a EVGA XC 2060 Super. It's rated to work with a 500w gd power supply and should be a noticable upgrade from my 580.

If planning on 1440p@144Hz, you'll want the 2070 S, the 2060 S would be good for 1440p@60Hz. As to psu, that's also partly on the cpu, and any OC that's intended.

The Ryzen 2600 is a miser with power, full load packages only hit @ 80w, and not much more than that with any OC, and the recommended psu for a 2070 S is 520w, so that Evga GD should be plenty. Even with Linus rating of @ 400w, that's maxed out, at best you'll only pull @ 70% of that as not everything is run at 100% full load concurrently, putting gaming loads closer to @ 350w ±.

1440p 60 fps is fine with me as long as it's stable. The 1440p would be for more immersive games and I'd dial it down to 1080p 144hz for online FPS.
