Is My PSU Enough To Upgrade My CPU?

Hello, I have a 630 watt PSU (Rosewil Green Series) at the moment and it runs my system just fine. My CPU is the AMD FX-6300 and I would like to upgrade that to an FX-9590 or an 8350. I can afford the 9590 upgrade unless my PSU can't handle it. If I have to get a bigger PSU along with the 9590, I would rather just purchase the 8350 which withdraws the same amount of power as the FX-6300. My question is: Can my PSU support my future upgrade to an FX-9590? My specs are here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Isack/saved/LznwrH

Thanks

That board isn't compatible with the 9590 and you would need some serious upgrades in the cooling , board , and power dept.

Your choices for the 9000 series:

Asrock 970 Performance
ASRock 990FX Extreme9
ASRock 990FX Extreme6
Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0
Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R4.0
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7
MSI 990FXA-GD80V2

AMD.COM

Warning: This power draw of this CPU is almost twice that of the average CPU. Due to this, AMD recommends using at minimum a 1000W power supply. For cooling, AMD recommends using either either closed loop liquid cooling or full system liquid cooling.

I would rather just purchase the 8350 which withdraws the same amount of power as the FX-6300

FX6300 is 95w
FX8350 is 125w

I apologize for my mistakes. I must've been thinking of the 8350 and the 8320 (which I was also considering upgrading to) that withdraw the same amount of power. Anyway, thanks for the explanation so quickly. I was looking at the ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 as a motherboard upgrade, a Rosewill Photon Series 1200 watt as a power supply upgrade, but had no clue as to what to look at for water cooling, have any suggestions?

I was mainly wanting to upgrade because of wanting to be steadily future-proof for games. By becoming "steadily future-proof" I mean that I would upgrade to a better component or add a new one each year. Another reason is because I play a lot of CPU heavy games which can sometimes give me HUGE lag spikes with my FX 6300.

In this case I would recommend going the Intel route, not sticking with AMD. It will help your performance a lot more than upgrading to an FX-8350 in my opinion. The difference in performance between the FX-6300 and FX-8320 are all but significant. Also, looking at the future-sensation DX12, the performance seems to rely more on graphics power rather than CPU power.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I have two questions: Does that motherboard support Crossfire-X? I was wanting to acquire another R9 280x in the future. My other question is: Why not get the 8350 instead of the 8320 when I can afford it?
Thanks for the quick replies. :)

I realize that Intel does in fact make most CPU's better than some of AMD's. I would've got an Intel CPU when building, but a decent i5 or i7 wasn't within my budget. Do you have any suggestions for a motherboard and i5 or i7 processor for a $400 upgrade?
Thanks for the replies. :)

Ok...One final question: Does my current mobo not support the FX-8350?
Also, if I upgraded to the 8350 and that board, I wouldn't have to upgrade anything else would I?
Sorry for bogging you down with tons of questions, but I'd rather take it from someone who knows more than me than be sorry in the future.
Thanks.

You have potentially just determined my next big system upgrade, and for that I thank you a lot!
