I'm using a silverstone st50F-es 500w and my rig is

Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
Memory: 16gb RAM (4 x 4gb ddr3 kingston)
GPU: Sapphire hd 7970 oc 3gb gddr5
Motherboard: asus p8z77-m pro

1 ssd sata (Intel® Solid-State Drive 320 Series 60gb)
1 hdd sata (WD10EZRX WD-Green 1Tb)
1 dvd-rw DRW-24B1ST
3 12mm fans (all w/ LED)
1 18mm fan (w/ LED)
Cooler Master Blizzard T2

and I don't know if these are related...

1 a4tech kbs 720 keyboard
1 a4tech op-620d mouse
1 plantronics audio 628 usb headset w/mic

also I'm using 2 monitors, 1 hdmi 1 dvi
1 samsung s19a100n
1 LG 32LM3410

my pc "restarts" by itself on heavy graphic games (sometimes I can play those games by setting graphics to lowest). I also tried OCCT and my pc "restarts" when I press "on" on both GPU: 3D and power supply.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read

You need a better quality PSU , that PSU actually only puts out about 405 to 410 watts. You could get by with a decent 550w , but I'd go to about 600w to 650w for some headroom.Try to get the second one.

jimthenagual & werner123 thanks for the quick responses.

any applications you can suggest that are reliable for tracking gpu/cpu/mb temp? I have Asus AI Suite II and AMD Catalyst Control Center but I don't think they're very efficient. I tried this once but forgot to take note of what was there, but since I have two monitors I can open the tracking program on the other monitor while playing the graphic heavy game. Would you suggest that I do that until it restarts? and take note of the temps on idle and prior to restart.

I'm sorry for the trouble, but I would like to know as well if I'm having a temperature problem because that would mean I'd have to buy a better cooling system, ergo more pressure on the PSU, ergo buy an even stronger PSU

I played battlefield 3 on the default graphics it assigned to me on install and here are my temps:

...........IDLE.........Prior to restart
GPU....50.0°C......75.0°C (the gpu core load was at 99%)
CPU....33.0°C.......53.0°C
MB......33.0°C.......34.0°C

Do I need to worry about my temps? If so, what would you suggest for a cooling system and what wattage would I need for my psu then?

I apologize if it is taking me so long to decide, but I have been looking around for stores with that brand and have so far not found it. I cannot order online because I live in a third world county and my circumstances prevent me from doing so. But I do have money, and here are links to a list of power supplies I saw which were above/equal to 550W. I have been to the stores as well and vouch for the availability of most if not all of these psu's

http://www.pcquickbuys.com/download/flier-080913.pdf
http://pcx.com.ph/components/power-supply/antec.html

I find that SilverStone ST60F-ES Strider 600W is more to my liking since it is within the suggested psu range you guys told me 600-650w and it is in the list of AMD's certified power supplies

http://support.amd.com/us/certified/power-supplies/Pages/listing.aspx

what do you guys think?

I understand that bolstering your reputation is important to you guys, and I would commend all your answers if I could. I will choose the best answer as soon as I buy the psu, put it into my rig, and test it since people who will look into this thread will look at the best answer and follow that example as well

I did not mean to offend, I apologize if it sounded that way. I only meant that if you had better reputation then you could help people better, because it would mean you had better experience.

I will take note of
ANTEC HCG-620 620W 80+BRONZE MOD and
SEASONIC S12II-620 620W 80+BRONZE

and if SR-71 Blackbird and jimthenagual suggest something from the links I posted earlier I will weigh those with my options as well. It is 10:30pm here at the moment so I will have the night to think about it.

Thank you guys for helping me through this predicament, I'll go straight to the computer shops first thing tomorrow

Thank you so much guys, I bought the ANTEC EA-650W 650W 80+ PLATINUM and my pc is running great! :)

I wish I could post more than 1 answer as the best but for anyone who lands on this thread, these three guys
SR-71 Blackbird, werner123, and jimthenagual are all reliable
