Is my PSU enough?

I currently have this PSU

My specs are-
Intel I7 3770k OCed to 4.0
Cooler master hyper 212 evo
ASRock Fatal1ty z77 performance motherboard
16gb G-skill ddr3 1600 in 4 sticks
1TB 7200 HDD
WIFI adapter
DVD burner

I've just purchased and want to install...
ASUS R9 290x
Western digital black series 2TB
The hdd I want to add to the current one I already have the GPU will obviously replace my current one.

My question is will my current PSU be ok to use?

It's all about the PSU's maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current capacity. Looking at the PSU's Wattage isn't enough.

Yes that is a nice psu. I can almost garauntee it will work. The r9 290x will consume around 400 watts max, and the cpu will consume 100. The maximum amount of wattage you will use is between 500-600.

It will be fine since it is a Corsair HX. The 850 Watts number is given since some power supplies come with sleeve bearing fans that will fail when mounted horizontally for example the Sentey brand power supplies which also has inadequate wattage.

What is the exact ASUS model of the Radeon R9 290X? There are at least six models. They all don't consume the same amount of power.

It will be fine since it is a Corsair HX.

It's a Corsair TX Series PSU. The discontinued CMPSU-650TXV2 that was made by Seasonic.

Part# CP-9020038-NA is a version 2.0 PSU so it will be the latest version of this model.
The older version will be CMPSU-650TX it is a different part number on the BOX.

If the power supply is a TX 650 v2 then everything is fine, it is not so much the GPU and definitely not the HDD.

TechPowerUp.com measured a maximum power consumption of 415 Watts for the ASUS R9 290X DirectCU II OC 4 GB [R9290X-DC2OC-4GD5] while running FurMark Stability Testing.

The Corsair CMPSU-650TXV2 shouldn't have any problems powering your system with that card and the second HDD.

Awesome. It is fine. If your power supply is mounted with the fan facing down without a filter or mounted with the fan facing, this would a good time to do the good ol' canned air and vacuum thing before making it run a high end card with dust inside.

That's what it says in my specs.

In one of the reviews of the Corsair CMPSU-650TXV2, that I've read, they were able to draw 820 Watts from that PSU before one of the protection circuits kicked in to shut it down.
