my rig
gpu: asus r9 280x cu ii top
cpu: amd fx 8320 bulldozer
mobo: msi 990fxa-gd65
ram: kingston hyperx fury 1800mhz 1x8gb ddr3 dimm(underclocked to 1600mhz)
storage.: 2hdds 1ssd

i have corsair vs650 as a psu eventhough it is supposed to deliver enough power
iam experiencing "pixelation" "in game crashes" " display driver stopped working" errors of these sorts

i was able to play a game for about 5-15mins max
until recently (like 2hrs before posting this)

" LIKE 4 or 5 minutes IN A GAME THE PC SHUTS DOWN

JUST SHUTS DOWN , NO ERROR NO CRASH NO WARNING. LIKE PHOOF!!

now i have searched around a few forums
everyone suggested that it was either the fault of the power supply
or it was temperature

i have checked temperatures they are well under 75°c

even if its the fault of my psu how do i confirm it
because if i can confirm that its the psu the vendor from whome i bought this psu has promised me that he will refund me full

Solution
The power supply has the juice to power the rig, but it's not great build quality & shouldn't be used for overclocking or the like. This maybe why they suggested it as the fault, due to it's basement value & the faults your having.

Does this happen in every game or just a specific one ?

If you used the graphics drivers on the CD that came with the graphics card, they are likely outdated. So uninstall them & get the latest drivers directly from AMD's website.

The R9 280X's can sometimes have graphical problems, if you have a spare graphics card, test it & see, to rule it in/out as an issue or not.

its not just a matter of trying with a new psu
meaning i cant test it with another coz i dont have one which is above 650 w

the temps are 54-61°c range for cpu
and i have seen an all time maximum of 73°c on the gpu
