Hi I need help with my issue

my psu is 6 years old
Seasonic Ss-620Gm2 M12Ii-620W 80Plus Bronze Full Modular Psu

The issue Im having is that I get random shut down. When I tried to boot my pc up, only the rgb of the ram lits up.
So I tried to remove my motherboard to my pc case and replugged everything. So far it works with both built in graphics and my 1660s. At times I still get random shut downs mostly when I use my 1660 so I stick with the built in graphics.

As of this moment it works without my pc case. Is my psu faulty given that it is 6 years old or it has something to do with my pc case?

Hey there,

Yes, it's very possible. That PSU was decent in it's day, but not meant for todays modern components.

Time to swap out most likely.
Thanks for the response. I would still pick a seasonic as a replacement. Served me for 6 years

replied using my pc out the case 😁
